In mid October Dave started having some back pain.  Because he works out 5 days a week doing P-90X we thought he must have slightly pulled a muscle.  Over the next few weeks his pain got so bad that he was experiencing intense back spasms.  After much therapy, the doctors decided to get some blood test done.  As the results came back, they admitted him into the hospital immediately.

On November 21, 2011 we received the worse news possible.  Dave has a form of cancer called leukemia. Our family was in shock. At this point they immediately rushed him to Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles for further tests and treatment.

The type of Leukemia that he has is called “Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia” (ALL).  It is the worst type of Leukemia and spreads  very rapidly.

His treatment will consist of a very strong form of chemotherapy.  He will be in the hospital for a month at a time, and then recuperate for a couple weeks at home.  This process will most likely last for 6-9 months.
God’s Got This.
